WordPress Permalink

WordPress Permalink in short is just the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) for you Blog pages and posts.
Keeping a good permalink is necessary to get a better search engine ranking by locating the keywords while searching in a search engine.

Main Factors

  • Images on your blog page must have alt tags containing your keyword / phrase.

ALT Tags are invisible descriptions of images which are read aloud to blind users on a screen reader. Adding ALT text allows authors to include images, but still provide the content in an alternative text based format. This will help the search engines to know what kind of images and details your post has. This is not the main key factor, but it just a method to optimize your post.

  • Include Outbound links in your page, consider adding some as appropriate.

Adding external links will sort out what type of posts you are up with. Including some internal links is also found to increase the ranking chance.

  • Consider moving the page title/keyword to the beginning.

For Example :If your Keyword is: Home Cleaning solutions. Then First sentence of the first paragraph is:”Our home cleaning solutions approach is simple:

  • The keyword / phrase must appear in the URL for this page.

Just as it says, place the keyword in your URL so that the keyword appear highlighted in the Google Search.

  • Consider adding some Heading( 1-6) to you post. i.e. Keyword / keyphrase must appear in 1 (out of 5) subheadings in your post.

While not a major ranking factor, this is beneficial.

  • The page title must not be less than the recommended 70 character limit.
  • Maintain a basic keyword density.

The keyword in the post must appear several times. Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.

  • Make sure you use unique keywords for different posts.

Keyword stuffing, perhaps bad SEO. Google may describe it thus: “Keyword stuffing” refers to the practice of loading a webpage with keywords or numbers in an attempt to manipulate a site’s ranking in Google search results. Often these keywords appear in a list or group, or out of context (not as natural prose). Filling pages with keywords or numbers results in a negative user experience, and can harm your site’s ranking. Focus on creating useful, information-rich content that uses keywords appropriately and in context.

  • Try to write posts with more than the recommended minimum 300 words.
  • Try adding the keyword in the first paragraph of the copy.

Meta descriptions are HTML attributes that provide concise explanations of the contents of web pages. it is the one of your last hopes on search engine results pages to attract a searcher to come to your site.
