Xiaomi Redmi 2A was launched in China yesterday during its event for the launch including Mi TV 2 and other smart gadgets too. Xiaomi had already launched their Redmi 2 phone in India  during the last 2 weeks. Xiaomi Redmi 2A is the cheapest phone under 10K. But its is still a limitation to most of the Indians. 4G is still not available in most of the places in India. But still the mobile features 2G and 3G.

The sale for Redmi 2 begun on Flipkart last week and The first flash sale for the Xiaomi Redmi 2 saw 50,000 units going out of stock in 87 seconds. The phone was not much fit for the budget of 7K. But the next unveiling of the Redmi 2A is the best fit.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 2A is similar to the Redmi 2. The device features a 4.7-inch HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Leadcore L1860C chipset, which features a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU and Mali T628MP2 GPU. It is paired with 1GB RAM. It is based on the 64bit architecture which provides much faster gaming and also good performance.

64bit Architecture apps and games are yet to developed by many developers. So getting the 64bit is not much of a use now.

The 4G LTE device has an internal storage at 8GB. The smartphone features an 8MP rear camera along with a 2MP front facing camera. This is a decent image shooter as compared to other devices in this range. Video capturing features the 1080P rear camera which is quite good and also the front facing camera with 720P.

Both Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Redmi 2A runs on MIUI6 which is the Kitkat version. Lollipop Update is still a long wait for Redmi devices. The device comes in Pink, yellow green, dark grey and white variants.

This phone is about to unveil on April 8 in China and would be available at a special price of CNY 499 (Rs 5,000 approximately). It is still under discussion when the phone would be launched in India.
